OTHER LANDSCAPES
Org.: Jociele Lampert, Tharciana Goulart da Silva and Miguel Vassali.
The book Outras Paisagens allows us to do much more than just take a look at the landscape of teaching, art and its teaching; it allows us to engage in broad and profound reflection, along with the texts and their authors, so carefully and judiciously selected to invent this other landscape. It is about delving deeper into being an artist-teacher, its processes of creation and invention, amidst methodologies and experiences that permeate the days between art and life. How do we create a class? Why do we choose to look at one landscape and not another? Where did we lose our curiosity? These questions are instigated throughout the articles in this book, which is a compass for our choices as living creatures, as teachers, as we wander along the path we have chosen: art.

Study Studio Painting Apotheke
Thinking about theoretical and artistic production in the field of visual arts today is a challenge that requires broadening our reflection from the perspective of contemporary expressions and their conceptual, formal and contextual implications. Interlocution seems to be a fruitful means for us to advance in this task. Pictorial Conversations records the set of activities developed by the Study Group Estúdio de Pintura Apotheke, from the Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina – UDESC, at the event of the same name held at the Museu de Arte de Santa Catarina – MASC, in 2016, parallel to the exhibition Deambulações sobre a pintura [Wanderings on Painting], by Prof. Dr. Jociele Lampert, coordinator of the project. The activities of this Meeting brought reports and presented reflections that led to important questions for research in the field of arts. On this occasion, we had artists, researchers and professors: Prof. Dr. Milton Machado, Prof. Dr. Rita Bredariolli, Prof. Dr. Marta Cabral, Prof. Dr. Paulo Pasta, Prof. Dr. Marco Giannotti and researcher and visual artist José Maria Dias da Cruz.
The documented material was transcribed and digitized following three axes: Interviews given to participants of the Apotheke Painting Studio Study Group, Conversation with the artist and Texts produced by the guests.
Keywords: 1. Painting. 2. Art Education. 3. Interlocutions.
A STUDY ON THE
JOSEF ALBERS' EXERCISES: ON PAINTING AND COLOR
JOCIELE LAMPERT and THARCIANA GOULART DA SILVA
CATALOGUE OF THE STUDY GROUP APOTHEKE PAINTING STUDIO.
In 2016, the Apotheke Painting Studio conceived the idea of developing studies based on the color interaction exercises of the artist and professor Josef Albers. This initiative is due to the fact that the exercises constitute a core of research in Art based on the context of teaching and learning. Also because they are exercises that touch on Thinking Painting and the densification of the Pictorial Process in the creative sphere, at the same time, with collage becoming the axis for the methodology of research in Art, as in poetic and conceptual procedures, it also becomes the Pictorial Language itself.
Keywords: 1. Painting. 2. Color in Art. 3. Josef Albers.
About being a Teaching Artist
E-book organized by Prof. Dr. Jociele Lampert and published by EDUNI/UDESC. The publication was born from the Discipline “On Being an Artist-Professor”, linked to the Postgraduate Program in Visual Arts at UDESC/Florianópolis, where students (masters and doctoral students) individually created magazines that poetically discuss the space of the theme (and each one with their research). In this first volume, for the first publication linked to the discipline, we present six different selections, which configure a selection on the theme and appropriation of the context of situating oneself as an artist-professor in the space/time now.
Keywords: 1. Visual arts - Study and teaching. 2. Artists. 3. Teachers - Training. 4. Education.
POETIC EXPERIENCES IN ART EDUCATION WITH ADOLESCENTS IN THE WOMEN'S DETENTION CENTER
Jose Carlos da Rocha
Art is part of every dimension of human life, but it is not always present in socio-educational institutions. How can we contribute as artists-researchers-teachers to break down the barriers of knowledge and create new paths in these informal spaces to develop devices for teaching Visual Arts? In this sense, we seek concepts in the theoretical studies of Almeida (2009), Barbosa (1991, 2015), Foucault (2014), Eisner (2011), Benjamin (1995), Poel (1981), Freire (1996) and Dewey (2012), which address issues related to the present research. Based on these epistemological references, we seek reflections, observations and answers to questions and investigations about the potential of the field of teaching Visual Arts in these informal spaces.
