The Apotheke em DissidĂȘncia is a study group that brings together artists, professors, and researchers from national and international institutions. We are currently dedicating ourselves to the study and research of artistic practices that break with hegemonic systems. We are interested in the artistic practices of sexual and gender dissident people, black people, indigenous people, and artists from Latin America and the Caribbean. We are interested in what the systems and their perverse manipulations call peripheries. It is from these notions that we are weaving a notion of dissidence.
The following professors are currently linked to this research:
FĂĄbio Wosniak (coordinator) - UNIFAP - Lives and works in MacapĂĄ.
Emilliano Freitas - UFG - Lives and works in GoiĂĄs.
MĂŽnica LĂłss - UB/Barcelona - Lives and works in the United States.
Rachel Gomes - UFPI - Lives and works in PiauĂ.
Thiago Goya - SME - Lives and works in SĂŁo Paulo.
Vanessa Freitag - Universidad Guanajuato - Lives and works in Mexico

The Apotheke Painting Studio Extension Program opens up new spaces for further studies and debates and sets up study groups on dissident themes in art and art education.
The meetings will take place online, as a study meeting, and will be held weekly. The objective will be to investigate dissident aesthetic-artistic experiences. We understand dissidence in its poetic form: gestating powers while being crossed by aesthetic-philosophical-poetic attitudes, making journeys through epistemological disobedience.
The wanderings of these investigations will be articulated with the field of Visual Arts and Art Education, where this new knowledge can enhance and resonate creative experiences for new practices-theories, where human existence is understood in its pluriversality. In this perspective of thinking-managing the encounters, interests turn to studies of LGBTI+ artists and thinkers.
